Long Flight Must Haves

I am not a frequent traveler, neither do I understand the concept of packing light. Yes, I pack 3 weeks of cloths for a 7 day trip! So I might not be the best person to advice on holiday must haves, but yes I can definitely help you with 10 things you MUST carry on a long flight!

1. Passport holder
It not only helps you keep your passport safe,(considering its the most important thing on you while travelling) but it also helps you keep your boarding passes, your immigration form, pen (please carry a pen) et all handy!

2. A comfortable pair of shoes
You might want to wear something comfortable and unfussy. Something that's easy to slip in and out of.
3. A medium sized bag
A bag that can accommodate the countless things that you think you need on the flight, but you never use. Like your vanity kit, a good book, your vitamins, Ipad, perfume, hand cream etc etc.

4. A good hand cream
Hands get really dry on flight, most people carry a face cream without fail, but neglect the hands/legs.

5. A jacket or stole
You might get a blanket inside the aircraft, but what about the airport? Airports can get really chilly sometimes. If you have long connections, then it might be a good idea to carry a sweater or a stole to keep you warm. If its till doesn't, grab a coffee at Starbucks or Coffee bean.

6. Carry your perfume
After a 20 hour flight, it's possible that you might not smell like a daisy. Please carry your perfume. Depending on where you are flying, please check with your airline on permitted qty of liquids. It's usually 3.4 oz stored in a zip lock plastic bag.
7. Foam Travel Neck Pillow
If you want to avoid a stiff neck, carry this little miracle of an invention! It's portable and has a tinny buckle which helps you just strap it on to your handbag when not in use.

8. Mint
The altitude and the sleep will leave your mouth dry. You should definitely hydrate yourself by sipping water regularly, also a box of mint might be handy to keep the bad breath away.
9. A Ziploc with your personal toiletries and medicines.
Please check airline policies before carrying any liquids. You must carry a small travel pack of your hand sanitizer, lip balm and moisturizer. With medicines, make sure it is in the original prescription package.

10. Last but not the least your music.
Yes, most air-crafts have playlists on the entertainment dock, but like me if you like your music, then make sure your Ipod/ mp 3 player is charged and loaded with all your favorites.

This post is absolutely brilliant! I used to fly like 8 months out of the year, and you hit the nail right on the head with this post.
